It was difficult finding parking. And that is an understatement. We ended up driving all the way back to the airport for parking and Ubered back. From a travelers opinion this was not a place to stay but to leave your belongings while you adventure. Difficult with a family including two children under 12 who analyze all things out of the ordinary like fungus along the bottoms of doors and bathroom floors that never seem to dry and feel slimy to walk on. My wife says it was cheap though for the number of days we stayed.
I had a terrifying and disgusting experience at Sandy Hotel. After my first night, I discovered bedbugs crawling inside the bed box, and I woke up with bites all over my body. I was forced to run out of the room in the middle of the night for my own safety and well-being.
This is not just a matter of comfort — this is a serious health hazard. The room was clearly not properly cleaned or inspected. I’ve stayed in budget hotels before, but this was unacceptable on every level. I immediately reported the issue and requested a refund, but I am still waiting for a proper response from management.
Location was great with beach access but the room size and room beds and cleanliness was disgusting. Bathroom was dirty the beds were uncomfortable the bed smelled and the room spelled like they tried to clean the doors are all tarnished looked like they took an abandoned building and try to make quick rooms for money. Horrible place no parking provided either. Good luck finding. U can try across the street at the Marriott hotel parking garage you gotta pay 8 bucks an hour. I will never ever book here again.
If you are looking for a near beach property this will work.
The older gentleman working the front desk was very rude and disrespectful. The room was super small and I could barely use the toilet. There was mold and dirt and blood on the sheets.
Our room was not cleaned properly. Sand everywhere Etc.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. I dont judge but employees were smoking weed openly on the front patio area where customers walk in.
The rooms aren't the greatest, but it is extremely understandable due to the low price they charge compared to the Marriott across the street,and the fact it's literally on the beach. Beware, there is NO parking available. Customer service is A+ as someone is always available to assist. The breakfast is awesome and location is superb.
