We went as a group of four. Not pro kayakers, but the team made it easy with simple steering tips. Check‑in was smooth. Mangrove paddle was calm some bumper to bumper with other kayaks, but fine. Expect wet shorts and carry strong mosquito repellent. Felt safe and like a fun little adventure. I recommend.

It was fun but kind of chaotic trying to keep all the kayaks in a row, in the dark with other tours going on at the same time. The host at check-in was very helpful and accommodating. The biologist was super informative and some of the guides were very professional while others were just goofing off the whole time. Overall it was a fun experience and we did see the bioluminescence.

Absolutely awful. To have kayaked for 1.3 miles (each way), ducking mangrove branches in the dark. Attacked by mosquitoes to then arrive at the lagoon on a beautiful night with a guide who barely explained the biosphere. Cover ourselves with a tarp, splash the water in hopes of seeing the plankton for only a few minutes and see NOTHING, before being told we need to leave the lagoon. Waste of money waste of time. I would have preferred if someone had just told us where to go for the best tour and the best opportunity to see this experience.

If you love nature and something that is a WORLD wonder, you will enjoy this adventure. There are only 5 Bioluminescent bodies of water in the world and Puerto Rico has 3 of them. I have visited 2 already. I set out with my 2 teenagers of this adventure and thoroughly enjoyed it. We have kayaked before but never at night and I was a little aprehensive. Our guide was Brian and his crew, they were excellent. We took our tour at 7pm which I preferred because you get to experience the mangroves beauty while you kayak 1.5 miles to the lagoon. Once we arrived the last bit of sunlight was gone, and we listened to Brian about the lagoon and the organisms that create the glow that all want to see. The darker it became the brighter the reaction of the light, I swirled my paddle and hands and behold the beauty of nature. We waited awhile while everyone got their fill of this natural wonder. When we started our trek back it was pitch black and I just focused on our guides light, and we arrived safely back to the shoreline. I highly recommend this adventure but go at the dusk setting time so you can get to experience the beauty of the mangroves. I say to beginners in kayaking just do it you won't regret it; we are all beginners in something sometime. If you are a nature lover and want to learn about all the beautiful things in the world to see at least once, this adventure is for you.

Me and my family had an awesome time! The bioluminescence wasn’t super bright that night, but the tour was still really fun. The guides were super chill and helpful, and explained everything really well.
