El Charro Restaurant

This is a VERY GOOD place to have Mexican food in Puerto Rico. It is affordable and delicious. Environment reminds me to Mexico itself and service/waiter was SUPER attentive. Sodas are cold and sparkly. We did not had drinks but the margaritas in the table next by almost had us. Oh, regarding the dessert, also tasty.

The pictures don't do it justice, this place has the coolest decor (relics from Mexico) and opens onto a beautiful garden. Super friendly and welcoming to us gringos. Especially charming bartender and young server. We had excellent fajitas, quesidillas and steak tacos. Wish we had time to come back again for the burros!

5 Star experience!! We loved El Charro so much, it was the best choice for our last night in Puerto Rico. We felt right at home from the start, the service was so friendly and welcoming. The interior is very nicely decorated. Margaritas were amazing and the first cocktails on the island with a relevant amount of alcohol 🍷 we had one Burrito with beef and one vegetarian and both were delicious and a very good portion. All in all a perfect meal and experience, highly recommend! Thanks to El Charro for this wonderful evening! 🇵🇷❤️🇵🇷🏝️☀️

We were fortunate to stay down the street from El Charro on our most recent visit to San Juan. They provide excellent, friendly service and great food. Very close to Escambron Beach! We enjoyed enchiladas, ceviche, queso fundito, ice cold Medallas, and parche margaritas. Wonderful atmosphere. We will visit again on this stay, and will definitely make it a regular stop for future trips to San Juan. (Closed Saturday and Sunday)

This spot was extremely cool. Great atmosphere, great service, and good food as well. So may cool things to see at this restaurant!! I wanted to just roam around looking at all the cool old stuff they had all over the walls, etc. I would definitely recommend stopping here because it is not often you see these types of places. It was very cool, and the servers were awesome .
