The marina is nice. But the restaurant "La Cueva del Mar" it's awful. Bad service, the food it's like a lottery ticket!
For Safe Harbor Management, find something better. La Cueva is not on par with your facilities. Very disappointed...
Rented a private boat from Culebra VIP located at Safe Harbor Marina, bathrooms and showers were well maintained and cleaned. Staff was friendly and the marina restaurant was amazing. We look forward to our next visit to this favorite spot.
We stopped at PDR for a 5 day break to provision and get some rest after a long passage from the bahamas. The marina is first class in every way. It’s big and extremely well managed. Most notably the staff is 100% focused on the customers and are smiling and always happy to assist. We encountered at least 20 of their staff over the five days and without exception they were solely focused on anything we needed. And they’re all super friendly.
The facilities are excellent. The docks are fixed so have your fenders ready. They are free of damage, debris, and “sharp pointy things” that we all hate.
The on-site restaurant was excellent with a good assortment of seafood and cold beer! Check the happy hour specials for sure.
We will definitely be back. Thanks PDR for an excellent stay.

9 months agoTook a catamaran out of this location with East Island Excursions. It's a beautiful harbor.
