Francisco Muñiz and his team of instructors have built a great environment to learn, thrive, challenge yourself and have fun. The environment is friendly and everyone is there to help each other be better fighters.
I’ve been coming to MMA Gym PR for years and I always feel great even after vigorous training. Great energies, amazing camaraderie. Worth every penny.
Great experience! The instructor and students are well mannered and everyone has a growth mindset in MMA. If you want to learn more I suggest you give it a try especially if you are a beginner.
Great Gym for All Levels!
I’ve been training here for a while and couldn’t be happier. The coaches are knowledgeable, patient, and really take the time to break things down whether you’re a beginner or more advanced. The atmosphere is super welcoming—no egos, just people who want to train hard and help each other improve.
The gym itself is clean, well-equipped, and has a good variety of classes (striking, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, conditioning). What I like most is the balance between tough, technical training and a supportive community. You always leave feeling like you’ve learned something new and pushed yourself.
Highly recommend this place if you want to get in shape, learn real skills, or even compete!
Francisco Muñiz running an MMA gym with a 1-4 record is like a guy with one swimming lesson trying to teach others how to survive the open ocean. His fight resume looks less like “experience” and more like a cautionary tale.
You walk into his gym and the first thing you see on the wall is his Tapology profile… not as a flex, but as a “before” picture. I’m sure his coaching philosophy is solid—“Alright team, today’s lesson: how to lose with dignity.”
The man’s win percentage is 20%, which is about the same odds you have of finding another student in his gym after their first sparring session with him. He’s not teaching you how to win; he’s teaching you how to survive until the decision.
Honestly, with that record, the only “submission” he’s mastered is submitting his resignation letter to the fight commission.
Francisco Muñiz looks like the type of guy who cuts to 145 pounds just so he can still shop in the “slim fit” section at Marshalls. That 1-4-0 record? Yeah… that’s not a fight record, that’s his Wi-Fi signal strength during training camp.
At 5’9” with a 70.9-inch reach, he’s got the wingspan to touch his opponent… theoretically. In reality, that reach has been mostly used to reach for excuses after the fight.
The man’s physique says “lean and ready,” but his fight history says “may be available for birthday parties.” If we’re honest, with that record, the only belt he’s holding anytime soon is the one keeping his sweatpants up at the gym.
Best gym in Puerto Rico hands down. I met the owner, Frank, just a couple months ago and he is the best teacher i’ve ever had! The gym environment is the best i could ever ask for. Thank you Frank!!
