Amazing experience at Movement Ecology Jiu Jitsu! We were visiting from North Carolina, and they made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Robert was an excellent instructor—patient, clear, and very welcoming. Even though they didn’t know us, they made us feel comfortable and trusted. If we had any questions, he would take the time to go one-on-one until everything was understood. The gym is super clean, well-organized, and the class schedule is very convenient. They even lent us a GI! Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming, professional, and good-energy place to train. 🙌
I am so thankful for all that Robert and Kili are doing for the community! They are fulfilling a need and making a difference. Jiu Jitsu at movement ecology has provided stability and discipline to help keep us in routine as a family. It is also a great place for my younger kids to express themselves as students and athletes, to share a learning experience with friends, and to do in a place that feels comfortable and safe. Highly recommend!
Movement Ecology is all about community whether you are a local, in the military or someone who has relocated to Puerto Rico. Often tourists would take drop in classes and leave with surf and local tips….each person is valued that walks through the door. The classes will inspire you to be a better person, while both the yoga and functional classes will build strength and agility. It’s the most down to earth gym/studio I’ve experienced.
The jiu jitsu program is solid and well staffed allowing each student to get individual attention. The coaching team is incredible. Our 8 year old daughter developed grit that we didn’t know was possible, especially being typically a shy kid. Our 12 year old son was able to participate in a tournament after 4 months of classes. We have watched his confidence continue to grow while he talks about finding comfort in the discomfort. Each class the kids practice boundaries and self-discipline and are able to have fun in the process. The parent community is also incredibly supportive and friendly.
Hands down Movement Ecology is an Aguadilla gem!
Our family has loved being part of the Movement Ecology family! My children (6 & 8) have been doing Jiu Jitsu for just under a year and they have grown in strength and confidence. Professor, Coach Kili, and the other coaches are wonderful role models and make the sport a lot of fun for the kids while teaching them lots of skills and keeping them safe. I also take the Reformer Pilates classes with Kili and her classes are really challenging and fun! I highly recommend Movement Ecology if you are looking for a welcoming and energetic community here in Aguadilla!
Professor Robert is a great Jiu-Jitsu instructor. He always takes the time to make sure we understand not just how to do a technique, but why it works. During class he breaks things down in a way that makes it easier to really get it. And even after class he’s always willing to stick around and answer questions or explain something again if we didn’t catch it the first time. On top of that, everyone in the class is really friendly and makes you feel welcomed from day one. It’s a great place to train and be part of a good environment.
