Went here on a whim. Thought it was a little sketch at first no address, Uber wouldn’t drive down there. Felt like that was part of the adventure and was intriguing. Grabbed a day pass. Had a great time, boxed around a bit, met the owners Angela and Gabriel. Fun time. Go.

I absolutely loved this gym. Visited Puerto Rico for the first time on my birthday week. As a lover of martial arts I decided to spend my birthday at Team La Perla. The facility is clean and has a view to die for! My coach Gabriel was extremely knowledgeable and a professional at his craft. I will be back to Puerto Rico next year & this will be the first place I visit. Thank you Coach Gabriel 🙏

Amazing amazing amazing. I’m from Brooklyn, and went to visit the motherland. I found this place through a friend, and I couldn’t have been happier too take the time to check it out. The owner of the gym Gabriel is a very nice and highly skilled fighter, the people in the gym are so so so strong, and even more kind. I will be training here the next time I come to Puerto Rico, and I look forward to working with everyone I met there. Amazing boxing gym by the beach in La Perla.

Im from Puerto Rican descent raised in New York. I've been to the island countless of times and know my way around. The only place I have never really gotten to experience and connect with was Viejo San Juan. My wife and I made a last minute trip to PR and decided that we would learn the history of Viejo San Juan and stay there for our trip. When I travel, I like to check out local gyms to stay in tact with my fitness. I came across Team La Perla and it just so happens that one of the owners/trainers trained muay thai at and competed for one of the gyms that I trained in Thailand. I was a little nervous but decided to go with my wife anyway. I was interested in getting a few sessions during my stay. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the head trainers Albert and he was extremely welcoming and genuine. He even gave my wife a one on one boxing session to introduce her to the basics and she loved it. So far I've done some boxing, BJJ and getting ready for my finally session of Muay Thai. This place has it all and you cannot get any better with the location. Full of experience, talent and respect. Keep it up Team La Perla. Hopefully I can call this place a second home every time I visit the beautiful island.
