Visiting PR for a few days and found tough love on instagram. Went in for a session and had a really good time. Coach Tony was great and the session was really well structured. All the other classmates were welcoming, and a special mention to my training partner Michelle for being so patient with me as we got lost in translation a few times 100% recommend this gym if you're visiting PR.
Manny and his coaches are great! Excellent conditioning and technique work. Super friendly environment and you’re definitely going to get a sweat in. 10/10 recommend if you’re ever visiting San Juan and want to get a quality workout in!
Was out on vacation in Puerto Rico and needed a place to train to keep sharpening my skills. Before I had even flew to Puerto Rico I was already searching for gyms and decided on this one because I love Muay Thai and I’m glad I did. The vibes in the gym are chill as are the instructors and students. Legit fight gym teaching Muay thai with no nonsense conditioning involved in the training. If you get invited to spar, the other students/competitors will take care of you as well. Five stars. 👍👍
I visited Tough Love Muay Thai in September ‘23 and had an incredible experience. The coach, Manuel, was very welcoming and I found the culture of the gym to be very warm and friendly. The gym teaches authentic Muay Thai and included a range of modalities including pad work, conditioning, and light/technical sparring all of which was challenging yet accessible for different skill levels.
Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for good Muay Thai and/or a good workout in San Juan. I’ll definitely be going back when possible.
I visited PR for 2 weeks while on holiday and wanted to get some training in.
Great place to train muay thai. Staff and members are very friendly and welcoming. They have both morning and evening classes, so you are still able to do other activities you have planned for your trip. Highly recommend a visit.
Sidenote: I recommend searching this address 500 Av. Luis Muñoz Rivera, San Juan, 00918, Puerto Rico when navigating to the gym, It will place you at the entrance better. Once you walk in, it will be on your left side.
