I spent $300 on a few cuts for home delivery to try them out, ordered the ribeye, NY and some burger, I have been on a carnivore diet for quite some time so I have a reasonable palate for beef, the ribeye tasted super funky and was extremely tough and my stomach was upset the rest of the night, I had one foot on the bed and the other on the floor not knowingif i needed to run to the toilet, I will feed the other cuts to the chickens if they survive a small piece, ground was fairly edible but had a few small bone chunks. I thought it may be a 1 off issue and i tried some of the meat again i still had and got sick again but only worse this time. A friend told me he had somewhat the same experience about a year ago, but I was looking to support a local farmer and thought I would give it a try, I cant recommend and its too bad. I requested some sort of refund a few times but received no call back.
I'm obsessed with this place and the Venezuelan couple who helped us decide which cuts of meat worked best for our preferences. I've been back weekly since we first came! As of Feb 2025, cuts start at $14/lb but completely worth it. The taste is distinctively better. We loved the mock tender and liver burger patties.
