Hospital Metropolitano Psiquiátrico Cabo Rojo

While traveling, I hurt my foot and thought that I might have broken a bone. I was lucky to see my private doctor and he ordered xrays. We arrived at the emergency room, were checked in, xrayed and given a copy of the xrays to take to the doctor, all in less than a half hour. We were stunned at how quickly we were taken care of. The staff was so attentive and caring.

Most of the experience had been great but there is time where you could be lots of hours waiting for nothing this because they are short staffed. In general is a good emergency room, needs some work but I will keep going.

Worst experience of my life. The staff and doctors walked around the entire time talking about coffee and cake and how they couldn't wait to go home. Meanwhile I was in agonizing pain and bleeding. They left me in a corner bed for 7+ hours without any physical examination until the last 30 minutes where i felt like my insides were going to explode and I flagged down a new nurse that had walked in...this nurse begged the doctor to check me and the doctor was reluctant simply stating "there's nothing I can do" but finally proceeded to give me a physical exam, at that point an ambulance finally arrived to take me to a hospital in Mayaguez where I had emergency surgery. The ER doctor was completely unprofessional and had horrible bed side manner. She only seemed to care about punching the clock and going home. My dog gets treated better at the vet! Had I not been transferred to Mayaguez I would have died in this hospital.

Honestly this place helped me dearly, I'm a 14 year old girl who went there and honestly it helped so much, I fully recommend this place
