They managed to lose track of my entire shipment for months and gave the transportation manager the run around. Wouldn't answer my emails, rude on the phone, overall acted like it was MY fault that they lost my stuff. Even the packing of my items was terribly done, one of the guys just threw items haphazardly together and wrapped it up. Nothing was properly inventoried and I had to fight them to put the correct condition on the paper. I didn't notice they broke my nightstand while trying to move it and put down that it was already broken. The bar is low for moving companies but they managed to sink below even that.
If I could give a negative star rating I certainly would. I contracted them for a household move from PR to the US mainland. This was their operating procedure: They provided a quote that was on the high end but acceptable given that they presented themselves as very knowledgeable and a high-quality operation (and also given the fact that there were not many options). They came to pick up everything as planned, and only two days later when my house was already empty and all my belongings were in their truck heading to the port, they called me to tell me casually that the weight was higher than their initial estimate and that they were going to charge me over 50% more. And if I did not want to pay? Well, they would return everything back to my house and charge me only for their labor to pack, load and then unload, plus local transportation, etc. which was also exorbitant. I had no choice but to pay. That is what they do.
Other than that, they were ok until they had my belongings. After that they were extremely RUDE, totally UNPROFESSIONAL, and provided a LOUSY overall service. My strong recommendation would be STAY AWAY FROM THEM. And for sure, STAY AWAY FROM THEM FOR ANY MOVES TO THE US.
I had used this company twice over 20 years ago and they were good then. But unfortunately, like with so many “family companies” in Puerto Rico, the man who started the business got old and retired, and the son took over. Now they are just THE WORST.
If I could give zero stars I would. This was a military move back to the states. Usually the movers are supposed to box and wrap all items. They initially told us it would only take one day but then changed their mind saying they needed two days but by then it was too late to book 2 consecutive days so they dropped off boxes and tape for us to pack everything ourselves. When movers came to pick up our stuff most sat around on their phones while my husband carried the bulk of the items. We had everything packed and ready for them and they still almost didn’t get it done in the time frame guaranteed. There were 5 people and only 2 really did any work. We then caught them dragging our paddle across the parking lot of our apartment building. This pickup date was July 9, 2021. It is now August 17 and our belongings still haven’t even left Puerto Rico. We have been given every excuse in the book, living in an empty house with a one year old while I’m 7 months pregnant sleeping on the floor. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Let’s start by saying Household goods were deliver a month after the expected delivery date on a military move. 2 weeks before the delivery date I called to explain to them them that a large truck would not be able to enter to my property and they would need multiple 20 foot trucks instead. The logistic person said he would visit prior to delivery to assess he never showed up and a 45 foot truck showed up on delivery day and as I said it, it wasn’t able to enter the property.. they ended up parking in the middle of the public road obstructing traffic and the 4 delivery guys had to walk a long path to the house carrying boxes by hand because they didn’t have a hand truck or dolly to assist either. Luckily I had a hand truck in my shipment that they were able to use and I asked them to place a few boxes at a time in the car to help.
