Had a return visit to the Museum as I wrote an article on it in 2024. Interesting place on a man who is significant in Puerto Rican history, and even Black American history on his achievements. Well worth the visit.
This is the house where Prócer José Celso Barbosa was born. It’s a beautiful and restored old house turned in to a museum. It contains original memorabilia used by Dr José Barbosa. Nice surroundings and location. Helpful guests/employees available to guide and answer your questions. Love it!
Valuable place to visit and hearing Mrs. Tita was the best to explain each corner of the house.
It’s free! No tickets to pay nor previous arrangements for seeing this place.
Incredible and enlightening experience at the esteemed Dr. Barbosa's beautiful yet antique house. To learn of this honorable patriot, his life, belongings and his many contributions to our island was astonishing to say the least. Highly recommend it for tourists and natives alike.
The place is great to learn about the political history and social context of Puerto Rico since in the early 1900. Is free and is a great experience. A must if you are in the area.
