We had an excellent time visiting this museum. It has a great collection of local artists' work. When we arrived, the museum was empty, and we had it for ourselves. The staff were very accommodating and treated us well during our visit. They were very knowledgeable of the arts exhibited. Arriving at the museum was frustrating since the entrance could not be identified quickly. Once we arrived, the museum was very clean, and the atmosphere was just perfect.
Nice museum. Loved the Tufiño and Lorenzo Homar paintings! The staff is somewhat friendly, at least, the ones that were when we visited. They ask for a minimum donation of $3.00. They have bathrooms, but you have to ask for permission to use them.
You can't take photographs to the paintings. Most of the parents that take their children to the free activities should be told to teach their kids that they're in a museum. If you teach little children to behave, they surely learn. But nowadays, they give them kids a digital device and think they're teaching them to behave.
I think that we as adults are the ones responsible for their behavior if we teach them correctly since they're little. That is the right time to teach them, not otherwise.
We saw one parent let their kid touch a painting, and another one poked a sculpture, and no one in the staff told the parent or the kid anything about it.
We were going to, but then we thought that maybe the parents would fuss about it, so we just continued walking far from them, but we looked at them with pity.
Most people don't know how to behave in a museum, and it is a shame.
Overall, the museum has beautiful paintings to enjoy.
Patricia was the most amazing english speaking tour guide!!! She made my experience and learn soooo much about the art because of her rich knowledge and passion and patience to explain the history and culture of every story background and intention of the artist!!! I learned more about Puerto Rico culture, history and life’s of Puerto Rican today than I have in 13 years living here . All because of Patricia!!! She need a raise and a serious promotion!!!words can’t express how impressed I am and how my mind blown away from how much I learn from her.
The art museum was beautiful with awesome pieces. The ladies were friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely return. Hopefully, the rest of the Science Park of Bayamon would be reopened by then.
We spent over an hour here admiring beautiful art by puertorican artists plus some renowned international ones. The staff is very helpful. The QR code at each art piece came in very handy.
