This is a place I like to go. Easy to get there from Highway PR#2. Peaceful place for outdoor activities; hiking, kayaking, mountain bike, bird watching or a simple picnic. Plenty of wildlife, if you are lucky you'll see (or hear) a caiman 🐊
Plenty of parking space. Like many other attractions managed by the government, either no facilities or poorly kept; bathrooms, info booth, personnel.
Has a main entrance and also access from road PR#687.
An excellent place with varying nature along the extensive trail system. There is a trail S of the lagoon that brings you all the way to the West of the lagoon (about 4.5 miles long). It gets very hot and humid - hydration a must to carry. There are unique and rare plants.
