Sharing my experience from around 2022
Positives:
Co.co.haus had one of the best communities of digital nomads I’ve come across. I really enjoyed the people and felt like it was my favorite spot in terms of fellow members. The staff were friendly and professional, the workspace was clean and had a nice aesthetic, and the internet was very fast (when it wasn’t interrupted by power issues). The location is also great, with easy walking access to good food options, a Pueblo supermarket, and the Lote 23 gastropark. Having semi-exclusive access to a rooftop nearby was another nice touch.
Negatives:
I canceled my membership after six months due to two main dealbreakers that didn’t work for my needs.
First, power outages. These happened pretty often, which isn’t unusual for Puerto Rico. The generator would kick in quickly, but two problems occurred every time. One: the internet would drop during the switch, even though this could easily be avoided with a UPS battery backup. Two: the HVAC system would stop working for the rest of the day, so the space would get so warm I’d have to leave to work somewhere else with air conditioning.
Second, while they were building out new private offices, I noticed that none of them had ethernet ports. When I asked about it, the response was, “Everyone uses Wi-Fi these days.” That might work for some people, but it doesn’t make sense for those who rely on more stable or higher bandwidth connections.
Since then, I’ve found a different space nearby that charges a similar rate and provides a much better experience for what I need.
Love my coworking space. I upgraded my membership so I can be there more often. Location and staff are great. Plus u can watch the chickens outside the windows. Furniture and bathrooms are clean and comfy. Free coffee ☕️ 😋 is great too!
It was a nice place to work, but watch out for their contract! I tried to sign up for a month, but they didn't explain that the way their cancellation terms work it's really a 3 month contract minimum. I should have read it better of course but it's worded rather obscurely and I thought since I explained that I was only in PR for a month or would be ok. Nope, they're insisting on continuing to charge me for the extra months now.
Update: The owner contacted me and basically implied that if I wanted my deposit back I should delete this review. She has since stopped responding to my emails. Super shady scammers. Avoid this place like the plague.
If you are looking for a Coworking space where you feel welcomed and inspired do not miss the opportunity to check out Co.Co House. The community is great and its all around a very happy place for entrepreneurs right at the heart of gorgeous San Juan. There is a bit of magic in this tropical oasis in the enchanted island and I guess, it is the combination of clean design, wonderful location and the always on and happy attitude of the team behind it.
Cocohaus is amazing. I had an office here for about a year when I lived in Santurce and I loved the fiber WiFi. The thing I really appreciate the most about cocohaus is that Ochi and Mara have been supportive of me even after I was no longer a member. They will email me when I get mail and even scan it to me if its important. I feel like that says a lot about their character the the type of people that they are.
