Cool spot for mainly locals hanging out and bbq. Free parking. It was busy on a Sunday but there were still places to hangout without being crowded. The best part are the views and the fact that it’s surrounded by water gives you a constant amazing breeze.
This was probably my favorite beach I found. It wasn't crowded and lots of places to explore. Loved the little area by the rocks you could wade in. The water was warm. This would be a great spot to take little kids to play in the water that is shallow.
Great place to spend time with your friends and family parking is available on site, the bathrooms were clean there's a place to change clothes.
The views are spectacular, you have view to Old San Juan
(Jan 2024) I've visited this place many times over the years. The natural beauty has always been there, unfortunately you can tell the municipality, the National Park Service or whoever runs the area are not interested in maintaining it. There's a large building in the center that had a place to buy food, eat and had bathrooms, all that is now falling apart. There are many gazebos in the area to celebrate activities, some of them are also falling apart. There is plenty of parking and nice beaches on both sides with calm water and even areas to go snorkeling. They use to charge to access the park, this time I went and I didn't see a single employee at the gate, or the park for that matter. Highly recommended for a nice beach day even if you don't want to get sand all over you or get wet. Not sure if they close it at night.
