The gate was closed way outside forcing all to park farther away from the coast. There is no proper signage to tell where things are, what's closed, what are the distances etc. In July there is a thick layer of dead vegetation around the beach.
It's one of our preferred spots in Boqueron.
The Balneario de Boqueron it
is one of the most popular and beaches for locals and tourists.
The beach has over a mile of golden sand and the calm waters of the Caribbean Sea. It has coconut trees for shade, plenty of parking, and a safe area.
Its location is accessible because it is in the "Poblado", you can walk there.
We visited on Labor Day Weekend and the water was super clear and clean but you couldn't stay in the water because there was something that stung like pins.
An absolutely beautiful beach and very clean. The water was warm and so clear. There are beautiful iguanas around to look at and a very peaceful place to be. Highly recommend. 1 down side the porter potty are nasty so I recommend finding a different place to use the bathroom.

a month agoGorgeous but needs a ton of work. Worth the 5 bucks to get it but I woyod park in town and walk over the bridge for free next time.
