RUN don’t walk here! Walked in and they kindly accommodated my waxing needs and even squeezed me in for a pedicure! I was lobbying for them to do my hair (4C) but alas they couldn’t make time! Such a great experience and there’s a coffee shop inside so you don’t go hungry and they take credit cards and I waited a maximum of 10 minutes even as a walk in. GOOOOO!
Terrible service, unclean environment, and sloppy handiwork.
I have come here on two separate occasions and have wanted so badly to like them and give them another chance. The first time, the lady that assisted me was more interested in her conversation with her coworkers than her job (she kept walking away to talk and left me waiting). She also wasn't wearing a mask - only the clear visor. That made me feel extremely uncomfortable -- we're in the middle of a pandemic!
The second time, today, I believe I was assisted by Joel. I greeted him kindly and got no response back - I told him what I would like with my eyebrows, and, again I was ignored. I immediately felt uncomfortable and almost, like, I was bothering him? He proceeded to wax me and was very aggressive with the way he would do it. I've had my brows waxed for years so I know what to expect. But, the way in which we would apply pressure or clean off the hairs felt like it was paired with aggression, I don't know how else to explain it... I have scratches/marks on my upper lip and beside my right eyebrow from where he pulled....
At the end, he said I'm all done and that was it -- he didn't ask my opinion or thoughts and left the room.
I'm looking at myself in the mirror right now and there's still hairs that I would've liked removed. And what's worse is that they're thinner than what I wanted! Which goes to show that he did not listen to me at the beginning when I asked him to keep the fullness of my brows. I'm so sad, I've been trying to grow my brows out for months just to have them ruined.
I'm still deeply uncomfortable and feel like I was treated as an inconvenience to them. I will never return again and I recommend you don't waste your time either. I don't understand how this place has so many positive reviews, it's suspicious at most.
If you've read this far, book advanced appointments with Looks Brow Bar on Avenida Winston Churchill instead. She is the best and so kind.
Went to get a Brazilian wax here last minute. I didn’t know what to expect, however this place was not clean and the wax was sub par. There was hair on the floor everywhere the corners weren’t clean and there was no private waxing area that gave you real privacy just basically a curtain and a small door. She double dipped the waxing stick and the wax was too hot. Pulled off some of my skin. I would not recommend this. They need to clean up and make their waxing services more hygienic.
