My wife and I saw this property listed for sale we were very interested in seeing it in person we contacted Natalie and she referred us to speak with Gerardo he's the listing agent. We spoke on Wednesday 8/20 he said he was busy at the moment and that if we wanted to see the property he might be able to do it on Friday 8/22. He then called us Friday morning and asked if can come see it we were staying at an airbnb in aguadilla and the house was in Manati about 1hr 20min. Away we said sure. We then met up around 12pm we saw the house it met our expectations and were very happy with it on the spot we said yes we want the house whats our next step he referred us to call the bank he was dealing Oriental Bank even though we were approved by 2 mortage lenders. He provided the lady name and phone number and we proceeded with all the paperwork transactions with her now. Before we had left the house he mentioned it's was not his first time selling a house before an open house which was on Saturday the next day. He was absolutely saying that this was a verbal agreement because we already had the funding showing we were in good standing on a loan already except for that he really wanted it to go through Oreintal bank because they have gone through the loan approval process already. So we explain since this is a yes we are buying the house we are going to extend our stay here in PR to do all the banking such as leave the security deposit and also open an account to put the down payment in escrow till we go into contract and sign the paperwork. Some how he must've spoken with Josi the banker and had her try to stall us. Josi by accident gave us the wrong information she screen shot the new buyers info by accident so our deal was sold at 215k and the new amount was sold at 225k so she was confused and didn't know how to explain her mistake she didn't know what to say it looked like he got more money for the house and dumped our deal and never called us back. I find no consideration in that you made a deal had us spend another $800. To stay longer and then didn't care and left us struggling to get answers to what just happened.
