We had a surf lesson at Jobos with Jose yesterday and had a GREAT experience. He was personable, taught us a lot about theory and reading the water, and we were catching wave after wave! Highly recommend!
Update 9/1/25: we booked an efoil lesson with Layne and had an incredible experience! We were both up and riding and having a ball in a great space. We felt safe and equipment was top notch
1000% recommend! Give it a try, Hank was the absolute best! We had the time of our life! He was super patient and helpful, with this being my first time on efoil! Had a blast!
Our trip was spontaneous, but our memories will last a lifetime. Martin took us out to explore the coast in search of the humpback migration, and we wound up spending the day surrounded by these beautiful, peaceful creatures, always keeping a safe distance as not to disturb their migratory path. We will most certainly be back with Martin and Robert, as they both gave us one of the most memorable tours of our time in PR.
We booked a tour with Dale for the e foiling about 2 years ago. Dale is a good friend, and makes you feel like family almost instantly. Even without the e-foiling experience we enjoyed learning about Puerto Rico with Dale.
Then came the tour. E-foiling out in the bay at crash boat beach is such a great way to get another look at the island of PR. The waters are crystal clear and the trees and cliffs are impressive. There is an “adventure at your own limits” feel when you get to drive the e-foil at your leisure.
Then there’s the foiling itself- even if you’re a beginner Dale can instruct you to learn a new skill you never thought possible. It’s like flying- but over the water. A pretty cool experience. And having family there makes it that much better.
This is a MUST do when traveling to Puerto Rico. Thanks for everything Dale!
Dale gave my 8 and 10 year old to surfing lessons today. As beginners they had such a great time and caught many waves! He is so patient, friendly, easy going, and encouraging. They had such a nice experience we went for a second round!
