Really good menu cocktail, even better gimlet. Cochinita tacos were incredible. Service was fast and friendly, and most importantly, fun. Music was loud, as music with soul should be. I really have nothing negative at all to say about this place; a real bar with its own identity in a world plagued by Instagram fueled sameness and mediocrity.
Cocktails are high-quality and affordable. We had one each with each cocktail less than $15 and the bar only about half full. In fact, we wanted to order more drinks, but the blonde male bartender was too busy flirting with two women patrons at the bar counter. After waiting about 25 minutes (yes, we timed it), we decided to ditch ordering more drinks and instead ask for the check.
Would go back if the bartender better balanced his time.
The bartender did a fantastic job. The food is on a whole other level. The octopus on the fries was outstanding. Their drinks were all delicious. It's a fun and upbeat location.
We were told to go here by a few locals who had other good recs. This was not the place... The house cocktails were not good, and we left half of them at the bar when leaving. If you're looking for a good cocktail, try somewhere else. We didn't order food.
