The night kayak tour with transportation from the hotel was amazing! We participated in the 6-8 pm one which allowed us to enjoy the sights of the mangroves as we kayaked to the middle of the lagoon. Once in the lagoon we were able to make the water glow by moving the water with our hands. The ride back through the mangroves was very dark and the paddles made the water glow. It was beautiful. The guides were very knowledgeable and had lights to guide us in the dark as needed. There are food and drink areas available to enjoy before or after the tour if you have time.
Can't say enough about Alex and this company. The guides were fantastic, the experience was exactly as promised (some of the 1-star reviews here didn't read the site or understand how nature works), and we would go back again in a heartbeat. In addition, my husband uses a wheelchair and this was by far one of the most accessible tours we've been on anywhere in the world. Alex communicated with us throughout, thought about ever single need, and was an absolutely gracious host. We're so grateful! 5 stars and then some.
This was hands down one of the best experiences we did on our trip to Puerto Rico. The tour guides Emily, Aj, and Jamie were very knowledgeable and funny. The blue water was beautiful and extremely relaxing. I would highly recommend this tour.
P.S. Emily, Marcelino is still not listening to me, lol
This company and Bio Bay tour is a complete SCAM!!! They are selling an experience they can't deliver!! You book a tour for the Bio Bay and at different times of the moon there is ZERO visibility of the glow and they make you get under a tarp with one inch of room if you push the next kayak that you are tied up to splash and to even see a spec of the bioluminescence! We had to share the tarp so had about three minutes! This is a complete joke and not worth your money!! When complained and asked for refund the customer service from the manager Alex was absolutely horrible!! And said you are buying a night kayaking not to necessarily to see the glow of the bioluminescent. Even though the description says bio bay? And why would you go kayaking at night?? Unreal!! Then he hung up on me— Great customer service and a good way to treat your customers! Save your money and do NOT book this tour or from this company!!
My wife and I booked a tour and had an absolutely amazing time. We felt safe, comfortable, and were able to easily complete the kayak tour despite having hiked 6 miles earlier in the day, and I'm not exactly super fit. We went on a moonless night in February and could easily see the bioluminescence. The tour guides, especially Emily, were fantastic and explained everything thoroughly.
We will definitely be back.
