"I've been bringing my pets to The Pet Vet for years, and I can't recommend them enough! The entire team is incredibly caring and professional. Dr. Wesley Toth is always thorough, taking the time to explain everything clearly and answer all of my questions. The staff is friendly and compassionate, making each visit stress-free for both my pets and me. They truly go above and beyond to ensure the well-being of my animals. Whether it's a routine check-up or a more urgent issue, I always feel confident that my pets are in the best hands. Thank you, The Pet Vet, for your excellent care!"
The experience was very gratifying. We scheduled an appointment for our cat’s neutering. The staff was friendly and very caring with our cat. Prices are accessible. Will definitely return is need be.
I've been coming to the Pet Vet for over 30 years with different pets and through different administrations. Whenever I come to live in Isabela (my home town), this has been my Vet of choice, Dr Toth has always been accommodating, knowledgeable and got to the matter at hand.
TODAY WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
I brought in a friend who is visiting with her dog. Her dog was bitten by another dog so we stopped by the vet's office for a checkup and antibiotics.
Well...I must have been "Gringa profiled" because we were being sold services that were... 1. Not how you treat a dog bite 2. Added additional treatment and 3. would eventually cause the dog more pain, all adding to a huge bill.
I questioned what was being recommended and the woman who was prescribing this course of treatment, (she never identified herself when she walked into the room and just seemed angry), I was told if I didn't agree with her treatment plan to go somewhere else. She was completely unprofessional and rude in a time where we were looking for help without being taken advantage of. I asked for her name and as she walks out the door (after refusing treatment) tells me I can write a review, report her or do what ever I wanted she didn't care. She said her last name was Caraballo.
What she prescribed...
1. Stitches (dog bites do not get stitches because of the risk of bacterial infection)
2. Drains for the infection the stitches would cause.
3. Shot of antibiotics
4. 2 week course of antibiotics
5. Sedation
6. Shaving
7. Shot of cortisol
8. E collar
And she was still going as this was the point in which I questioned what she wanted to do.
This has been my go to vet with my own dogs and cats and thought I could trust them enough to bring them another patient. Sadly, today's experience broke all trust and confidence I had with them. My only lament is that my Dalmatian loves Dr Toth and gets treated often for allergies but because of this 1 person a 30+ year veterinary relationship is broken.
We ended up taking the dog to another Vet and was confirmed that stitches were not the treatment the wound needed, drains were not needed, sedation not needed, ecollar not needed, shaving not needed....pretty much just needed the antibiotics. 😑
And a fraction of the bill.
I've been bringing my pets to Dr. Wesley Toth and family for a while now, and I can't recommend them highly enough. What really stands out is how thorough they are during every visit. Whether it's a routine check-up or a more complex issue, they take the time to carefully explain everything, examine all possible angles, and make sure you fully understand your pet's health.
What I appreciate most is that Dr. Wesley Toth is honest and balanced — there's no fearmongering or pressure to pursue unnecessary treatments. They present the facts clearly, offer reasonable options, and always prioritize what’s best for the animal without making you feel overwhelmed or alarmed.
Their calm, compassionate approach gives me real peace of mind. It’s rare to find a vet who combines deep knowledge with genuine empathy and integrity. I trust Dr. Wesley Toth completely with my pets’ care.
