This clinic has helped my dog a few times for consuming chocolate and for corneal ulcers. I've had great experiences every time I've been there. The desk staff is friendly and helpful and I'm usually seen very quickly. One time when they were busy, they let me know it would be a long wait (we were there for a follow-up, not an active emergency), so I could make the decision to stay or come back later, which I appreciated. All the vets we've seen there have been very knowledgeable and helpful and I feel like my pup is in good hands! They also have good connections with other vets on the island if you need referrals to specialists.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had to make a difficult decision to treat my dog’s lymphoma with chemotherapy, and I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care provided by Dr. Carlos Ortiz at the oncology section of this clinic. Despite some negative reviews about the overall clinic, I want to highlight the outstanding service I received from Dr. Ortiz, the only oncologist in Puerto Rico. Referred by Dr. Jose Sosa, whom I consider the best veterinarian in Puerto Rico (the "Shaman"), I was reassured by the detailed and compassionate approach of Dr. Ortiz. From the first visit, he thoroughly explained the differences between chemotherapy in dogs and humans, answered all my questions with patience, and made sure my dog passed all necessary tests before starting treatment. His expertise and dedication were evident, and he spent considerable time with us, ensuring we felt comfortable and informed. While chemotherapy is expensive, I trust Dr. Ortiz completely because of his professionalism and the high quality of care he provides. For anyone facing a similar situation, I highly recommend Dr. Carlos Ortiz for oncology services. His knowledge, kindness, and attention to detail make a significant difference in the challenging journey of treating pet cancer. We took in our dog Nelly after she had severe seizures. Nelly was 16 years old and meant a great deal to me. The vet and staff were very kind and compassionate to Nelly and to us. I’m very grateful for the dignity they treated her with during her last moments. The facility was clean and modern as well.

I went there tonight with my friends dog Biggie, i left the vet at around 9pm and at 10pm they already sent me and the dad an update with a picture and a video. I have always been very hesitant of 24/7 vet hospitals in the island because of previous stories and experiences in other hospitals. But after today I would feel comfortable taking my own dogs there if i ever had an emergency. Extremely professional, nice and helpful receptionists, the vet techs super attentive and informative, and the Dr. was amazing, i dont remember the name so if they can put it in the comment than that would be awesome because he was extremely helpful, answered every single question I had and when I asked if we could see him before we left he very kindly explained the protocols they have in their hospital but willingly offered to send us an update with a picture and a video (to which i did not believe was going to happen) and to my surprise they delivered as promised and that is what made me write my first review ever. Thank you, the little details like that are the one that counts and makes me believe a little in humanity, so again thank you, keep up the amazing work!

I brought my 15 year old best friend in at 1am on a Tuesday morning, presenting signs of bloat. Even the security guard present sensed my urgency and helped me inside as quickly as possible. I rushed in with her and the staff acted immediately, taking her in the back to treat her. Bella went into her first surgery, and they brought her out once she was awake so we could see her and see that she was stable. She went back in for her second surgery, in order to attach her stomach to the wall of her abdomen to prevent this issue from happening again. She made it through the second surgery, but unfortunately she began having seizures and her body struggled to recover moving forward. We had to ultimately make the decision after a week to say goodbye to our sweet girl, but this was not for lack of effort from the veterinarians and the staff here. Every day, we called multiple times a day and they gave us updates on her status frequently, with understanding and compassion. We visited every day, and there was no rush to push us out or make us leave her side. Everyone from the front desk, to the techs, to the vets, were nothing but kind to us during this very difficult and traumatic process. When it came time to decide to end her suffering, we were met with patience and compassion, throughout. Our last day with her, we spent 4 hours visiting with her until we made the choice to let her go. Even when I picked up my dogs remains, the staff comforted me in my pain and came out from behind the desk to hug me. These are people who care. Although I will miss my girl every day for the rest of my life, I know everyone involved tried their best to save her, and I know she fought her hardest the whole way through. I am grateful for the effort and the empathy of everyone at this clinic, and I hope you know you make a difference, even for those who are no longer with us.
