Highly recommend VetsPR! The clinic is new, well-equipped, clean, easily accessible from the freeway, and offers 24/7 care. The whole team—from the secretaries to the nurses and doctors, especially Dr. Cintrón—is very nice and professional. I arrived late at night and was warmly welcomed. The secretaries clearly explained the different procedures and pricing before I was promptly called in by the nurse. Dr. Cintrón performed a thorough check-up on my cat and answered all my questions. While she was taken for further tests, I felt at ease knowing my cat was in excellent care. I’m definitely making VetsPR my official go-to clinic.

If your pet arrives in critical condition, meaning if not treated NOW it may die, they will prefer to spend 2 hours “crunching the numbers” as the dog slowly dies, because it’s all about the money, I guess. After coming up with that green price tag they love so much- and not a second sooner- they will enter him for surgery, knowing full well they just wasted two hours that were crucial and might've made the difference.

They took great care of my pup! The staff is well versed and very kind. If you have an emergency DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

I cannot recommend VETS PR enough! While visiting family in Puerto Rico, my dog developed an ear infection. We were so relieved to find that they were open 24/7, especially on a Sunday night. The office was spotless, and the staff was welcoming and professional. Dr. Angel Ramos took care of us, and I was beyond impressed with his knowledge, kindness, and patience. He is incredibly intelligent and bilingual, making sure I fully understood everything about my dog’s condition and treatment. It was such a comfort knowing we were in great hands. I'm so grateful to have found this clinic so close to my family’s house. If you need top-notch veterinary care in Puerto Rico, VETS PR is the place to go!

Unfortunately my experience was that they were not knowledgeable or had the expertise to deal with a severe illness like kidney failure. I brought my dog in on a Sunday afternoon. They advised that he needed to be hospitalized and they would run diagnostics. I came back the next day during visiting hours and asked for a copy of the diagnostics to share with my vet back home in Miami. Thank god that I had her to rely on because she said that he had signs of a severe infection and needed to be on antibiotics. At this point, my dog had been there for almost 24 hours and they still had not called me or advised me to put him on antibiotics. It wasn’t until I told them I consulted with my vet back home that they said they would start antibiotics. My dog spent three nights there and every time I came back, he looked worse. There were several instances where they lacked the professionalism and expertise compared to what I’m used to in veterinary care back home in FL. One of the visits, they brought him out to me and his bed and pee pad was soiled from pee. Another time, I asked for blood pressure to be taken and then they didn’t do it and I had to ask like 3 times. I suffer from thinking what my baby went through. I can’t help but feel that maybe if my dog would have received the proper treatment, perhaps he would have had a better chance for survival. I feel bad for people on the island that have their beloved pets suffering from issues that doctors there are just not equipped to deal with. It’s very sad.
