Montones Beach in Isabela, Puerto Rico, is an absolute gem! This breathtaking public beach stole my heart with its pristine golden sands, very shallow crystal-clear turquoise waters, and serene vibe. The natural beauty is unmatched—perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or just soaking in the sun with the gentle sound of waves. The beach is clean, well-maintained, and offers a peaceful escape from crowded tourist spots. Surrounded by lush greenery and unique rock formations, it’s a photographer’s paradise. The beach vibe is welcoming, with nearby food stalls serving delicious Puerto Rican treats. A must-visit for anyone seeking a slice of paradise!
This beach offers a diverse experience with a calm, shallow area behind the rocks and an open section with larger waves. While there isn't much natural shade, there are vendors renting out chairs and umbrellas. Parking is available for $10, and free restrooms make the visit more convenient. There are also hotels and restaurants nearby. It does get fairly crowded on weekends, but the vibrant atmosphere adds to the experience.
It's a beautiful beach with a bay shielded from waves, which is great for swimming. There is also a very shallow pool where one can just sit in the water and enjoy the sun. It's not too crowded, and sometimes it even feels a bit secluded. It was our favorite beach to go swimming when we stayed in the Isabella area.
The staff was great! The cabins were very clean, ac in the rooms and WiFi, dishes and cookware in the cabins with a kitchen. Hammock and table and chair set on the porch. The cabin is steps away from the beach the bar and restaurant is also very close. Outside water to rinse off the sand. Gated area, parking lot and photo spots.

7 months agoJust so beautiful. It was too windy when we went so could not do much swimming but just sitting and admiring the beach was enough. Amazing.
