This is one of a few stops you should make when touring this town. You have the Mirador de Mariana Bracetti. Yet this location is closed. They have signs posted not to enter due to construction. Their is no work being done. It is not maintained at all. Yet if you want, you can walk up yourself from the parking lot location. It's a little difficult 10 walk to the lower level Mirador, which is wheelchair accessible or a 12 minute walk to the upper Mirador, which has about 30+ steps after your walk. You have a few kioskos to purchase a few of the local fast food restaurants at the parking lot. A few small bars as well. They have the famos Tetitas limber. Which are Frozen Icey treats. Yet check for days of operation, because they are closed more days then opened. Just below this stop you have a nice location to stop and take the selfies with the towns letters. Most of the towns have a location to show its name. From here take a drive to the main town and visit Heladeria Lares, where you will find ice creams made of flavors. You may have a difficult time trying to decide if you want to even try it. 😆 lol Across the street from here, you have the main town Plaza. Where you find the monumento of Ramon F. Betances. Who is one of Puerto Rico's best freedom fighters. In this main Plaza, there is a mosaic of the Puerto Rico map. They have the main Chothlic curch and the Mayor house. A few gift shops and restaurants.

Not much to do. View is spectacular. Limber de Teta were good in the shops. Pastelillo de mofongo & churrasco was horrible in the Fritulareña shop. Skip that, trust me.

A very distinct place to try a distinctive desert popular in Puerto Rico. It's sits on a hillside overlooking the city of Lares, and the desert (called limber) is shaped in the form of a teardrop, or a herseys kiss. It comes in many various flavors. The place also has a zipline overlooking the Tetita kiosk, and the city. There is also a pizzería there, on weekends locals sell their crafts, baked goods, and fresh produce.

This is a great spot to visit On the weekends. When it is open. The restaurants serve great food and there are tons of places nearby to take beautiful pictures. The best time to go is usually Saturday and Sunday
