Highly recommend the art walk of you haven’t been. It has tons of local Zellers and great stuff. There are also performers as well. Can’t wait tons go back
Enjoyed the Art Walk for many years, with so many of the great Island artisans. Safe to say, in our opinion, now it’s more kin to a flea market than an art walk with most if these previous artisans choosing not to participate any longer. We look around our house and see numerous beautiful pieces we acquired over the years from talented artisans at the art walk. Now, it appears costume jewelry, t-shirts and many un-original woodworks abound. The one saving grace is the art gallery that opens also in the municipal complex, yet it’s always almost empty. Again, this is just our opinion of a decade or so of watching the events evolution.
Was a very entertaining night. The vendors were all friendly and not pushy at all. I have been to places where they just want to "sell" and PR was not like that. They were respectful. The music was a great add to this market. They had drummers playing, which gave this market a great vibe.
I bought a cool ring, some bracelets for my kids and if I brought a bigger luggage I would have bought a painting. I just traveled with a carry on. lol
Safe, fun and a must try! Had some yummy fish tacos at the restaurant right beside the square where the saxophone player was. Delis!!
Such a cool event! We loved coming here and checking out all the local art! We even made a few purchases. Support local, and be sure to come here during your stay!
