Amazing place. It’s a gem. Not a fancy hotel but it felt like home. Daniel and Betsy were super helpful as I asked them 1,002 questions about San Juan when I checked in Johanna at night was great too. The room served its purpose cold A/C clean bathroom and smelled good with lots of light big windows you can open. Can use some updating for sure but that’s my go to.
Johanna was super helpful and accommodated me with two special requests. Her communication was clear, and she explained how everything works at the hotel. I’ve been here three times and have never been disappointed. Great value for the budget, and everything was on point. By the way, she also has really good taste in music!
Horrible!!!!! I went with my friend. We found the hotel from our Southwest Airlines Perks. We went straight from the airport, to find the hotel closed. At 1am it was not cool to be stuck outside. So after calling the number over and over, finally we spoke with someone. They let us up into the room, and as soon as we tried to get settled. The floor was completely flooded due to the ac. The bed is literally next to the wall, blankets all soaked. They moved us to a different room on the 1st floor. We lost power and water. We had no services all day. Now they move us again cause the room was rented. We had to leave our things in the hallway by the stairs. Then with all apologies, they sent us to a sister hotel with no parking. We didnt enjoy any amenities as we kept moving with our bags.. Getting towels downstairs was like pulling teeth. The total cost for the was 430 for 3 nights . When we left and came back home , they charged my friend 935 dollars. We tried to contact the hotels, and they talking about they upgraded us.. we didnt ask, or was offered and upgrade. We booked the Canario because we wanted a pool and the amenities. We got Nothing.. The only thing that was positive was meeting Eddy. He was great. But this hotel completely ripped us off. Never again. Unacceptable.. Go elsewhere. Once you get home the charges conveniently go up.. Flooded rooms, no light or water, no pool amenities.
I left this hotel two days before my scheduled check-out because it was disgusting, unsafe, and completely misrepresented.
The safe didn’t work, the mini fridge was broken, and the AC unit blasted directly onto the bed, making it hard to sleep. The room door didn’t even have a functioning latch, which is a basic safety feature. There were spider webs, peeling paint all over the walls, and the shower had almost no water pressure.
The front desk staff, especially one man, were rude and unprofessional, making the stay even more uncomfortable. Common areas looked neglected, adding to an overall unsafe atmosphere.
This was not the clean, comfortable property advertised online. I would never recommend staying here, and I strongly suggest Expedia review this listing for accuracy and safety. I contacted Expedia with photos and details, but they denied my refund despite the clear safety and cleanliness issues. Guests deserve better, and this listing should be reviewed for accuracy and compliance.
I had a great experience at this hotel. It is a cozy family-owned hotel and Eddy provided great service to us. He was very kind and helpful, and we loved talking to him! The location is great and I felt very safe (the door even has to be opened by a staff member or your own hotel key to get inside). I wouldn't say this place has resort-like amenities or luxury, but it's comfortable, affordable, and is a great spot to spend the night when you want to explore San Juan.
