My best friend and I bought a pool pass for the OLV rooftop pool last week and it was truly such a lovely experience! Upon arrival, we were escorted / upgraded to our own little cabana. I wish I could remember the name of the male who took us upstairs - I believe he was the pool manager there - but he was so fun and polite! Our waitress was also really personable and kind. We ended up having a really long chat with Gustavo who was SO lovely! He told us all about his favorite places in San Juan and shared some go-to restaurants and beaches. Collectively, they made our short experience there so relaxing and memorable.
Our stay has unfortunately been very unpleasant. I’ve really tried to avoid leaving a negative review, but at this point it’s difficult not to. From early in the morning, starting around 8 AM, the noise level has been unbearable. Between the constant vacuuming in the hallways, loud footsteps above and around us, and what honestly sounds like construction or renovations happening next door, we haven’t been able to get any peace or rest during our stay.
On top of the noise issues, the service has also been disappointing. We specifically requested towels, and despite waiting, they were never brought to our room. For a place that should provide comfort and hospitality, the lack of responsiveness and consideration for guests has been incredibly frustrating.
Valet is extremely rude and it took 30 minutes for us to get our car when leaving to head to the airport. After waiting thirty minutes the guy with the Afro didn’t even apologize for the wait, open the doors or anything. He just parked the car and left the door opened and walked right inside. The only nice valet guy was Josue.
Overall, this has been one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had, and I cannot recommend it. If I could give it less than 0/10, I would.
The hotel is one of the nicest on the island. Please dont bring children we loved the adult only atmosphere. The luxury and service takes it to a new level.
When you open the door to your room you can smell a light sent of bleach. It is so clean here. The staff are trained to be observant they leap into action with out hesitation.
This was my first stay but I will be back the robes and slippers. The room, was the cheep one they have to options above this one and it's stunning. Next time we will do the master suite.
I booked O:LV for my birthday with 10 friends and the stay was very disappointing. One friend’s room (330) smelled like mildew with a wet floor, and she couldn’t stay there the first night. Despite multiple complaints, the front desk did nothing until the next afternoon, and we only received a refund for resort fees, not the unused night. Another friend’s room (250) had pizza scraps left on the floor by housekeeping and roaches the next day.
The hotel smells damp as soon as you walk in, the fixtures are cheap and falling apart, and the rooftop drinks were not good. This place may look good in photos, but the service, cleanliness, and overall experience were far from luxury.
If you’re looking for comfort and quality, I cannot recommend O:LV.
Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from they probably staying in wrong plance! my experience was nothing short of fantastic! Amazing hotel with professional, friendly staff who truly take care of you, never stop smiling. The room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. The food was delicious and full with flavor so do Alcoholic beverages , the pool water was crystal clear, and the valet service was top-notch—fast and courteous. Great management overall. Will recommend to anyone who looking for a relaxing vacation.
