a week agoThe Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, the resort felt like paradise. The beautiful beachfront location, lush landscaping, and stunning architecture made for a picture-perfect stay. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The pools were pristine, and the beach was breathtaking, with plenty of loungers and space to relax. The rooms were spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, offering a luxurious and comfortable retreat. Dining options were excellent, with delicious food and great variety. Whether lounging by the pool, exploring the gorgeous grounds, or enjoying a drink at the bar, every moment here was unforgettable. This is the perfect getaway for relaxation and luxury. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

2 weeks agoBeautiful resort, isolated from crowds, and well maintained. Great pools, lots of free activities especially for families, and nice walks along the beach. Food a bit pricey but we enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The only downside was the check-in which took forever. Strange since they have so much staff to sell cocktails, drive golf carts, landscape, etc. Once done with check-in, we had a great time and would go back.

a week agoWe had a fabulous stay here. The pool area is amazing. No waves at the beach area. The rooms are great, but I would recommend being on the second floor. We heard footsteps above us the entire time! I thought the poolside/bar food and drinks were reasonable. We never ate at the restaurants otherwise though. We always prefer to eat more local when traveling. We happened to be here during the Puerto Rican open and we had such a great time walking the course with the golfers. We would definitely come back. I recommend having a car. Parking is approx $17 per night.

3 weeks agoPremises were beautiful, lots of manicured landscaping, lots of lagoons and greenery between buildings. Room was very nice, everything was very clean. The pool is excellent. The beach was great but water is shallow and not as turquoise clear as other beaches in Puerto Rico. The food options were not that great, but I did like most meals we had in the resort. The best part was catered group dinner served on the grass right next to the beach, the view and the atmosphere were exquisite. Spa is small but pleasant. We visited off-season and it was awesome not to stumble over crowds

a week agoOur stay at here was disappointing due to multiple security and service concerns. Upon arrival, the check-in process was disorganized. There was no formal line, so guests were essentially clustered together in the middle of the lobby, waiting for the next available desk. As Hyatt Globalist members, we did not see a designated line for priority check-in, so we waited with the other guests. This lack of structure made the process feel chaotic and is an area where the hotel could improve to provide a more streamlined and organized experience. Adding to our concerns, the bellhops removed our luggage from our car and set it aside under the awning while I checked in and my husband parked. At first, staff was present, but by the time we finished check-in, our luggage was completely unattended, meaning anyone could have taken it. With no employees in sight, we decided to take our own bags and walk to our bungalow rather than relying on staff who had already been careless. Ironically, as we neared our bungalow, we were stopped three separate times by bellhops asking if we needed assistance—at that point, we had no interest in their help. Another frustrating aspect was parking. Instead of handling parking access at the check-in desk, there was a separate parking desk where we had to obtain a card for in/out privileges. This extra step was unnecessary and should have been streamlined—either integrated into the room key or provided at check-in. The hotel layout is also inconvenient, as all buildings are two stories with no elevators. Upon arrival, we had to carry our own luggage upstairs. No checkout instructions were provided either, so we had to repeat the process in reverse, again with no assistance from the bellhops. The late checkout process was equally frustrating. We had to request it the morning of, but despite confirmation, housekeeping still knocked and attempted to enter our room at regular checkout time. There were no door hangtags available to indicate late checkout, and it’s clear the hotel lacks a system for checking with the front desk before disturbing guests. More concerning, housekeeping was able to enter even though both the deadbolt and security lock were engaged, raising serious safety concerns about room security. We had hoped to enjoy snorkeling, and while the conditions seemed fine, our experience was cut short after only about 10 minutes due to encountering a territorial barracuda. While this is obviously not the hotel's fault, it was an unfortunate end to what could have been a nice excursion. Overall, while the property itself may have potential, the lack of security, disorganization, and inadequate guest service made our stay frustrating and concerning. I hope management takes these issues seriously to improve future guest experiences.
