a week agoAmazing. At the risk of ruining my experience, I would tell you to come early. The closer you get to lunch the busier everything is. I mean, everything, the waterfalls, the trails, the rest stops… Packed. A few of the first here though it’s quiet for a little while.

a month agoEach step on its moss-covered trails is a journey through a living, breathing paradise, where the whispers of ancient trees tell tales of resilience and beauty. El Yunque is more than just a forest; it's a sanctuary for the soul. Here, the boundaries between earth and sky blur, and time seems to stand still. In this sacred place, the spirit of the island dances freely, offering solace and inspiration to all who venture into its depths.

a week agoAlso called the Caribbean rainforest, it’s a decent one day trip. You need a car to go around. All the spots are on the way and east to find. A dip in the water near the falls is pretty good especially when the weather is hot. Do go with an umbrella as it can rain anytime there. Parking is a bit tricky for a good spot.

2 weeks agoBeautiful example of Gods creation. You are around water and we experienced no bugs. It’s a once in a lifetime experience but you will be hiking, climbing and embracing the mud.

a month agoIt was amazing to be up in this rainforest. We rented a car and didn't have any trouble navigating our way up there. Some of the major hiking paths were closed because they're working on a reconstruction project but it was still worth the time to do it. So lush and beautiful. And surprisingly, no flying insects. I think they are expected but for some reason we just got lucky.
