Incredible food and service. Our server was Maria Ortiz. Temperature was okay, could be a little cooler. Fresh selection of snapper, lobster and oysters. Diverse menu including pastas, chicken and beef as well as the seafood selection.
- **Empanadas queso cebollaCrispy and cheesy with a perfect blend of flavors.
- Churrasco a la Parilla Angus : Tender skirt steak with flavorful chimichurri on top of delicious mofongo. A must-try!
- Asopao de Mariscos : Rich, hearty, and packed with fresh seafood. Perfect for seafood lovers.
- Overall, fantastic service, great food, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot!
This is my second time coming to Cueva del Mar. The parking situation is a pain and worse when it’s peak and evening hours but the stress goes away once you are finally seated and ready to eat! The staff is phenomenal, friendly, attentive and kind. The restaurant has plenty of space to sit when coming in groups. The atmosphere is very welcoming, very clean, and inviting. The menu is extensive and diverse with plenty of options to choose from. We ordered a platter with different appetizers, deep fried but it doesn’t taste like oil which is a good sign they keep the kitchen clean and change the oil when due. Ordered a piña colada which is a must when visiting the Island at least for me. I ordered a Mofongo con Camarones in the white sauce and devoured it like I hadn’t eaten in a lifetime. My fiancé ordered the Churrasco with the garlic shrimp and mamposteao, this man has eaten more meat in many different restaurants and swears that the churrasco was one of the best he’s ever eaten. It was very well made. Overall a great and pleasant experience, will definitely be back again.
La Cueva del Mar is a true gem! The service was outstanding—attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was simply incredible; everything was fresh, packed with flavor, and of top-notch quality. I have to say, the churrasco was probably the best I've ever tasted—perfectly cooked and seasoned! The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, and the cleanliness was impeccable, which made for a comfortable dining experience. Overall, an amazing place to eat, and I can't recommend it enough. Looking forward to my next visit!
Wow! The service was super fast, and the food was very good.
We got in during happy hour, 4-7 pm.
We started out with their drink specials of Sangria.
Appetizers- emapnadas de Carrucho and Jueyes, dozen raw oysters
Dinner- mofongo de camarones a la creola,
Frutti de Mare pasta woth Garlic and Olive Oil
Dessert - Flan de Coco
Everything was very good.
I believe the best time to go is on a Monday around 6 pm. The service was fast and very attentive to our questions about the menu.
